FAQ

All WunderTrees will be collected between January 2-9. All Customers will be emailed on December 21 with their collection day. Reminder emails will be sent again on 27 December and again the night before your scheduled collection.

Once you have placed your order, we will send you a link to our slot booking system. Slots are 4 hours long and your WunderTree could arrive at any time during the 4 hours. You can reschedule your delivery anytime up until 24 hours before using the same booking link. We will send you a reminder two days before!

All WunderTrees are delivered without any emissions thanks to Mercedes-Benz Niederlassung Berlin and their all-electric eSprinter.

1) Order your WunderTree online.

2) Choose your delivery and pickup time (emailed to you after purchase). WunderTrees will be delivered in Berlin & Potsdam Monday-Saturday 08.00-20.00 from November 30 until December 18.

*Delivery spots are limited so order quickly to get your desired delivery date.

3) Sit back, relax, and wait for Christmas to arrive.               

**Need to update your delivery date? Sure, book a new time exactly like the first booking you made. 

4) You will be notified that your WunderTree is on the way and your WunderTree will be delivered at the chosen time on your chosen day.

5) Enjoy your WunderTree and have a magical Christmas! Your WunderTree will come with simple instructions that will help keep your WunderTree looking beautiful and help it prepare for being planted in January.

6) Choose your pickup time and date (emailed to you in late December).

7) We pick up your WunderTree between January 2 - 9.

8) Your WunderTree will then be taken to our forest and planted where it will stay forever. We also plant a native tree next to your WunderTree to help diversify the forest and strengthen the ecosystem. *WunderTrees will be acclimatised at our storage location before being planted, and will only be planted when the weather is right.

Our Trees are relatively low maintenance, but please remember to give them with 1-2 glasses of water daily. The Trees don't like too much heat, so if you have heated floors we recommend placing the tree on a stool or table, or even some insulated material like a timber chopping board from the kitchen. We provide customers with a detailed yet easy to follow care-guide, which will give your WunderTree the best chance of survival.

There are many reasons why a Nordmann Fir may not survive the time until it is picked up; some people don’t have a green-thumb and forget to care for it, others have curious pets or children that think a Christmas Tree is a squishy ball, some people set their thermostat to sauna-styled temperatures. And sometimes, despite all efforts, the Tree is temperamental—even a cactus, the most hardy of all indoor plants, can just give up on living. 

If the Tree dies before it’s collected, it will be sad, but you will not be punished or fined for it and we will still pick it up. This is uncommon though, in fact last year 97% of WunderTrees made it through the holiday season as a houseguest! 

In 2020 WunderTrees are only available in the Berlin area. If you think the idea is amazing and would like to have WunderTree available in your city, we would love to hear from you. Send us a message and we'll see what we can do for 2021.

All our trees come from Denmark, from Europe's biggest Christmas tree provider. 

The trees grow in a pot until they are ready to be delivered to your home in December, and then are planted in a forest after Christmas. 

Our Trees come in three sizes, pot included:

Bruni 120-140cm

Rudolph 141-160

Knut 161-180cm

These are the biggest potted trees available in Europe. In the coming years we hope to be the first supplier of 2m - 3m potted trees but our trees at the farm need a few more years to reach this height. Beauty and excellence take time! 

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Maestro, Klarna, eps, iDEAL, Bancontact, Apple and Google Pay. 

We used to accept PayPal but they are not very nice to small businesses with innovative business models like us so we removed them from the checkout options. However, if PayPal is the only payment method you can use please write to [email protected] and we will create a PayPal link for you.

After we have collected all the WunderTrees we transport them to Brandenburg where they are planted alongside other species of tree to create a mixed forest. This new forest not only sequesters carbon but also contributes to a healthy local ecosystem and increases biodiversity. Some trees are planted in our very own WunderWald whereas we plant some in forests belonging to our partners who will be announced very soon!

If small insects appear on the trunk of your WunderTree these are aphids, commonly called tree lice. But fear not, they are not lice at all and are not harmful to your family or pets. If these guys appear it's a sign that your tree is in good health, but confused. The warm temperature in your home has convinced the tree that it's springtime. While we put in extra effort in the summer before harvest to make sure our WunderTrees are free from aphids, it's important for you to give your tree a home where it's around 18C constantly, cooler if possible. Doing this will not only prevent potential aphids but also set your WunderTree up for a good start to its new life in our forest. If aphids do appear on your WunderTree, don't panic. If possible, put the tree outside for a day or two and the cold weather will put an end to the aphids. You can then return your WunderTree inside. If moving your tree is not possible try either spraying them with a mixture of water, chilli and garlic. Or brush them off with a dustpan and brush, then vacuum them up.

The other thing that may appear on your living WunderTree is a clear or yellowish liquid oozing from the trunk. This is tree sap. Again, it's totally normal, and safe, it's just your tree thinking that the warm weather of spring has arrived. If the sap falls onto your floor you can wipe it up with warm soapy water. We understand that these little dilemmas or extra notes of care might be a bit frustrating for some folks but just like babies, kittens or puppies, your WunderTree is alive! And things that are alive need a little bit more attention and care. We hope that you'll enjoy having a WunderTree as part of your family this Christmas, and that you'll enjoy doing the little things that enable your WunderTree the best chance of survival in our WunderWald.
